Spring Day at the Zoo

The weather was gorgeous yesterday, and the boys and I spent the middle part of the day at the Birmingham Zoo. It was so fun to have them in shorts again after a long, extra-cold winter. Apparently the sun and excitement was a little too much for Ethan, because he conked out in the stroller during lunch.

I am a 35-year-old mother of four. I spent my first twenty-two years in a small town in central Arkansas, and married my college sweetheart a few months after graduation. He and I taught English together in Wuhan (China) for a year, and then moved to Florida so he could attend medical school. Caleb and Ethan were born while we were in Florida, Lydia was born during medical residency in Alabama, and Naomi was born here in Tennessee. We have been very blessed with friends and family along the way. The past few years, our family has put down some roots in our new home of Tennessee. Our children are the joy and the challenge of our lives, and this blog is mostly about them.
